Sightseeing in Keszthely

Keszthely, one of the most beautiful towns around Lake Balaton, is about 85 km from Siófok. The town evokes the atmosphere of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy with its beautiful buildings and the famous aristocratic neo-baroque mansion, Festetics Castle. The tour includes a visit to Festetics Castle and its Coach House, and to the Gothic Parish Church. Our visitors can also enjoy a walk from the old parts of the town to the shore of Lake Balaton. The tour offers an opportunity to explore this charming town and also to enjoy the good shopping facilities.

Sightseeing in Tihany

Tihanyi-félsziget (Tihany peninsula) divides the lake into two basins. The characteristic view of the Mediterranean lanscape was formed by volcanic europtions millions of year ago as shown today by two giant calderas. The remains of these craters form two little lakes, without outlet, higher than the water level of Lake Balaton: Belső-tó, which is popular with anglers, and Külső-tó, a paradise for aquatic birds. Tihany is a jewel of not only Lake Balaton but also of Hungary. Since the 1960s masses of tourists, both Hungarians and foreigners, have been visiting the place. Its main assets are the historical and cultural relics related to the monasetry, the unique landscape and the recreational possibilities of Lake Balaton.
